Sometimes life gets busy, really busy! Unfortunately for the Rademacher family most of November and December was filled with sickness. Yuck! January has been eventful. Surgery had a lot of unexpected bumps, but after a few extra hospital stay days, about 10 extra doctor's appointments, and about 5 new prescriptions I can say I am starting to feel a little bit like the old Mrs. R.
I know that Miss Vinzant is doing an amazing job with my class, but I sure miss them. I did go in on Friday to work on report cards for a few hours, and then proceeded to go straight home to nap for 3 hours. (I am glad I have two more weeks to rest up before returning!) I know they are in the middle of my FAVORITE reading unit on volcanoes, and can say I am a bit jealous that she gets to teach this one! (There are so many fun extras we do with this one!) When I return we will begin writing our All About Me books where students get to publish a real hard cover book of their own. It is a brutal writing process for the teacher (parent volunteer editors will be needed), but the finished product is absolutely amazing. We will also begin a new science unit (for me too) called sun, moon and stars! Lots of fun coming up soon!
