In science we have been exploring seeds. We have learned about the three main seed parts: the seed coat, embryo and stored food. We also learned all about making a hypothesis. The students were given a plastic baggie, paper towel and water.
Their next step was to determine if a seed could sprout with only those three things. Our hypothesis was written.
Half of our baggies were kept in the dark and the other half hung in the daylight.
Our conclusion:
SPROUTS!
